The majority of Joe’s practice centers around working with small businesses. He uses his considerable knowledge and experience in helping individuals establish and operate businesses and has been involved in numerous business purchases and sales. He especially looks for ways to maximize the protections available to his clients through this process.
His experience working with businesses also includes tribal entities involved in the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program. He has worked with tribal businesses seeking 8(a) certification, creating joint ventures to pursue government contracts, and similar issues involving federal government contracting.
Joe has considerable estate planning, probate/trust administration experience. Having a death in the family is a difficult experience, Joe knows and understands this. He has experience helping individuals and families make this difficult process easier by taking necessary precautions, establishing a plan and guiding families through the probate and trust administration process.
He also donates time representing the Guardian Ad Litem for the Court Appointed Special Advocate in child protection cases that often times involve children that are subject to abuse or neglect.
Additionally, Joe has considerable experience in landlord and tenant issues. As a real estate investor himself, he has knowledgeable hands on practical experience.
Joe is a fourth generation Idaho native. He was born and raised in Burley. He attended school and graduating from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University with honors. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children. They love anything outdoors, including hiking, backpacking, fishing, skiing and snowboarding. He also enjoys watching or reading up on the Utah Jazz.
